Shoot-Out Between Rival Drug Dealers At Gas Station in Charlotte

On October 12, 2017 in Charlotte, NC at approximately 7:36 a.m., Eastway Division Patrol Officers responded to Parkwood Avenue and The Plaza Road in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. According to the caller, two male subjects were observed shooting at one another before getting into separate vehicles and fleeing the scene. While officers were enroute, they were notified that a school bus from Charlotte Lab Charter School that had 19 students onboard had been struck by a bullet, shattering a window. The children aboard the bus did not sustain injuries, however the bus driver received minor injuries from broken glass and treated at the scene by Medic. While on scene, officers were advised that a second vehicle was damaged by a gunfire, but the driver did not sustain injuries.

At this time detectives believe that the two male subjects got into an altercation in a gas station parking lot, which led to the shooting. Detectives are currently working to identify the subjects.
