Man From Tiny Township Charged with Sexually Assaulting Child at Collingwood Department Store

A Tiny Township man has been charged in connection to a sexual assault on a child at a Collingwood department store.

Isaac Beaton, 34, has been charged with sexual interference with a person under 16, sexual assault on a person under 16, and failing to comply with a probation order.

Collingwood OPP officers were called to Walmart on Oct. 22, after a man approached a child and committed an assault.

The arrest came after an investigation involving detectives with the local detachment’s crime unit, the Southern Georgian Bay OPP, and the OPP regional support team.

Beaton was held for a bail hearing on Oct. 31 in Barrie.
