Lenin's Corpse Is Still On Display And Putin Doesn't Want To Bury It
Russian President Vladimir Putin is refusing to bury former Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin’s body. Lenin led the Bolshevik Revolution and the Communist revolutionary’s corpse is still on display in a tomb in the Red Square. People have been debating what to do with it since the fall of the Soviet Union.
The recent 100-year anniversary of the October Revolution has revived the issue of whether or not to bury the Communist leader. Putin has suggested that a burial would imply that Russians once followed false values. However, most Russians want Lenin 6 feet under and for their country to move on.
