War Machine Found Guilty on 29 of 34 Charges Stemming from Brutal Attack on Christy Mack

Former MMA fighter War Machine, formerly known as Jonathan Koppenhaver, has been convicted of numerous charges for his role in the horrific 2014 incident involving his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack and her boyfriend at the time, Corey Thomas. The fighter assaulted Mack and Thomas, using both his fists and a knife.

Following eight hours of deliberation on Friday, the 12-person jury was unable to reach a verdict on the 34 felony charges War Machine was facing. They continued deliberating until Monday afternoon where they reached an agreement on everything except the charges of attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon and attempted murder.

According to KSNV News in Las Vegas, War Machine has been found guilty of 29 charges of "sexual assault and battery constituting domestic violence." However, he has been acquitted of at least four charges including burglary with use of a deadly weapon, sexually motivated coercion, battery with intent to commit sexual assault, and sexual assault with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm.

Christine Mackinday, a.k.a Christy Mack, recently shared two tweets commenting on the jury's decision, calling it a "great victory for myself, as well as victims of DV [domestic violence] everywhere."
