Twitter Censors 7ummit Magazine For Posting Timeline of Cleveland Gunman Steve Stephens
Earlier this morning Twitter blocked our @7UMMIT account for tweeting about Cleveland gunman Steve Stephens. The article was a timeline of the events surrounding the shooting as we know it and contained no links to the graphic video which many sites have published.
Our account was locked for the following reasons:
7UMMIT Magazine was then forced to remove the tweet below in order to access the account. The Tweet stated "Facebook: Steve Stephens Killing Video Uploaded, Not Broadcast Live."
The tweet contained no threats, no harassment, no disclosing of user's private information.
So why was 7UMMIT Magazine censored? So far Twitter has not responded to our requests but we do know that in the past it has appeared that Twitter has censored the free speech of those they do not agree with.
We will update this story when and if Twitter responds.
