Barron Trump Thought His Dad Was Dead When He Saw Kathy Griffin Image

DONALD Trump’s young son thought his dad was dead after seeing comedian Kathy Griffin’s sick severed head stunt.

Barron Trump, 11, was watching TV with mum Melania when the comedian’s photo appeared on the screen holding his dad’s fake severed head, reports TMZ.

Barron panicked and screamed, “Mommy, Mommy!”, claim Trump family sources.

A source said: “He’s 11. He doesn’t know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad.”

Trump slammed Griffin, branding the comedian “sick” in a Tweet today and saying she “should be ashamed of herself” for the stunt.

He wrote: “Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”

The comedian was filmed posing for the camera as she held up the gruesome prop, dripping with fake blood, TMZ reports.

The head in the photos – taken by famous snapper Tyler Shields – has the US President’s distinctive blonde hair.

Clutching the head by its fair-coloured locks, she eventually releases her grip, allowing it to drop to the floor.

A clip of the pair in the studio taking the pictures shows Griffin joking about having to flee the country when the images are released because of the backlash.

She says: “We have to move to Mexico today, but we’re going to go to prison – federal prison … We’re not surviving this, okay?”

As predicted, the release of the images sparked a massive backlash.

Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Hillary and Bill, was quick to condemn the pictures, writing on Twitter: “This is vile and wrong. It is never funny to joke about killing a president.”

Even Kathy’s longtime friend and CNN New Year’s Eve show co-host Anderson Cooper blasted the images.

He wrote: “For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”

CNN have confirmed they are “evaluating” her on-going role as co-anchor of their annual New Year’s Eve shows.
