Parents Concerned Child Poisoner Christine Allen is Back on the Streets
The kids called her “Auntie Christine.”
A loveable, caring daycare owner who took the kids shopping and played games with them.
But inside the malevolent Mary Poppins’ heart was a throbbing darkness.
Now, Christine Allen, 36, a former Kitchener daycare operator, has been released from prison after serving three years of a six-year sentence for poisoning four children.
Peel Regional Police took the unusual step of issuing a warning late Monday that Allen was back on the streets and living in the area of Charolais Blvd. in Brampton.
And they warned: Allen is “an elevated risk to re-offend.”
One mom — whose son was a victim — said she was shocked by the news Allen was back on the street.
“I am disgusted by this! Especially the thought that she might reoffend,” the mother, whose name is protected by a publication ban, told the Toronto Sun.
“It looks like there is no remorse on her end and I feel that if the opportunity arises she may (do it again).”
Allen — a troubled, drug-addicted mother of three — was the operator of an unlicensed daycare in Kitchener when four young children were poisoned.
She began giving the kids a toxic cocktail when they were infants — three of them were children of Allen’s friends. There were also five more suspicious cases.
