Apple Music to Release Cash Money Documentary Friday
After numerous delays, Apple has finally confirmed that Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story will release on their Apple Music streaming platform on Friday. The Cash Money documentary will feature Bryan "Birdman" Williams narrating his childhood and what inspired him to change his life's trajectory by launching the mythical label back in 1991.
Apple initially announced the venture in the fall of 2016, before being pushed back to a May 2017 release, which also passed by. Baby will serve as an executive producer on the project along with his brother Ronald "Slim" Williams. The endeavor marks the first film to be released under the Cash Money Films division.
A trailer released this month added hype to the already highly anticipated documentary, which includes exclusive footage and interviews surrounding the New Orleans native's family upbringing and childhood environment. "Baby wanted to do something different in life, so I chose music and started Cash Money Records," says the 48-year-old to close out the concise teaser. According to a press release obtained by The Fader, a coinciding soundtrack will accompany BeforeAnythang's release.
