Police Believe Toronto Man Called Himself 'Cody' to Prey on Children Online

Toronto Police are out with a warning about an arrest made in connection with an investigation into child luring.

Investigators are concerned that the accused might have been in contact with others they don't yet know about.

Authorities say officers descended on an address in North York on Tuesday with a search warrant.

They arrested 24-year old Wesley States of Toronto.

He faces 6 charges, including luring children, invitation to sexual touching, and making and accessing child pornography.

Police believe States communicated with 'numerous' children online over a period of roughly 2 years, from October 2015 to December 2017.

They say he might have been using the online alias, 'Cody.'

Authorities are concerned there may be other victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto Police or Crime Stoppers.
