Police Make an Arrest in a Sexual Assault Case that Left Boy Stabbed

Toronto Police have made an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation. 

Last Thursday morning at around 3 a.m., a man entered a home in the Hilda Avenue and Steeles Avenue West area in North York. 

Police allege the suspect entered a room armed with a knife, sexually assaulted a woman and stabbed a boy, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police identified the suspect and on Sunday arrested 54-year-old Ronald Peter Tibando of Toronto, who faces several charges including Break-and-Enter with Intent, Sexual Assault with a weapon and Forcible Confinement. 

Tibano appeared in court Sunday.
