Man Arrested for Posting Mass Shooting Hoax Threat on Facebook

Toronto Police have made an arrest in connection with an investigation that concerned threats via Facebook. 

 On Friday police were advised of a concerning post on Facebook ,which indicated there would be a mass shooting at a night club in the downtown area of Toronto. 

 Police allege the post was made on Facebook using a fictitious profile. 

 27-year-old Michael Aaron Jardine of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with cConveying false information with intent to alarm and failing to comply with probation. 

 Jardine appeared in court on Saturday. 

 Investigators believe there was no validity to the threatening Facebook post. It was done as a hoax.
