Guelph Business Owner Charged with Sexual Offences Involving Child: Police

Guelph police say they have arrested the owner of a local art education business as part of an investigation into sexual offences involving a child.

Pablo Suarez has owned and operated “Pablo’s World of Cartoons” on Cardigan Street for the past 11 years.

The 48-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and luring a child.

Const. Mike Gatto said it’s very early in the investigation and it’s not known if there are any other victims.

“It’s always a possibility, but we hope that isn’t a fact,” he said. “For now, we are dealing with this one incident.”

Suarez has also held several camps, workshops, and cartooning parties throughout the Guelph and Wellington County area, according to his website.

Anyone with information relating to the investigation is asked to call Guelph police at 519-824-1212 ext. 7441.

Anonymous tips can be left with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
